I love Sweden!

Allright, this is really important! It shows that the Swedish Health and Medicines Authority is taking this issue very seriously and thinking about making a law against home UV nail products, and I really hope they will do the same ind Denmark – as for now I have allready heard a lot of awful stories about peopple using home UV products and causing extreme damage to themselves and has developed crazy allergies and skin irritations. So tak eacre of yourself, allways go see a pro for nailtreatment, hairtreatments and everything else. There IS a reason why we teach and get educated on our field. Please have respect for yourself and your beautician.

Ohhh Lord – It’s been a while

Allright, stuff’s been going on the last months, I am so sorry for the absence. Don’t worry, I’m back, and I allready have a couple of tutorials ready. I remember you asked for them on Instagram I’ll hook you up!


Allright.. Needs to know why I’ve been gone? First of all, Jeeeeez, my school is taking up a lot of time lately. I really like it, but being a mom, going to school and having 3 jobs and my family is taking up a lot of my time. But I love doing nails, teaching and giving away good knowledge. Right now we just started our last project in school for exams. Cool process, but boring for you guys.

Second of all.. I’ve been busy sleeping in, taking long naps, going to bed early, being nauxious and gaining a little bit of weight allready. Oh yeah, you’ve guessed it – there’s a baby on the way! My big boy, Carlos gets the honour of becoming a bigbrother in November 2014! I’m preggers, and had a looooong 3 months allready! Now it’s over, and there’s a healthy little boy waiting inside.

Tutorial – Laces

Best Chocolate Cupcakes!

Best chocolate cupcake recipe (CAKE! NOT MUFFIN!) ever – classic vanilla frosting. These cakes are a classic, they’re really easy to bake (-that’s how I roll, if it is too complicated I don’t do it!)  and they can easily sweep yur guest of their feet – You guys want the recipe? Check below.

Oh yeah, and by the way the cupcake liners from Miss Etoile – I love them, but seriously they’re NOT baking cups! Only for presentation or for really really dry muffins – they’re no good for my sweaty cakes.


  • 1/4 cup (2 ounces) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup (7 ounces) sugar
  • 2 ounces of your favorite chocolate (You can use any plain chocolate that you like except white chocolate or candy melts. The chocolate doesn’t have to be one typically earmarked for baking – any chocolate bar that isn’t flavored and doesn’t contain mix-ins like nuts, Rice Krispies, nougat, etc. will work.)
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 large egg yolks, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon (4 1/2 fluid ounces) vegetable or canola oil, measured in a liquid measuring cup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (2 3/4 ounce) full-fat sour cream
  • 1 cup (5 ounces) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup (2 ounces) cocoa powder (natural or dutched will both work with this recipe)
  • 1/2 cup (4 fluid ounces) room temperature water, measured in a liquid measuring cup

Way to go!

  • Preheat oven to 175 ‘ C.
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, mix butter and sugar until fully combined. The end result should look like wet sand.
  • Melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler.
  • Once the melted chocolate is cool enough to touch, add it to the butter/sugar mixture and mix until just combined.
  • Mix in eggs and egg yolks one at a time until just combined.
  • Mix in oil, vanilla, and sour cream until just combined.
  • Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, and cocoa powder into a separate medium-sized bowl. Use a fork or a whisk to ensure that the ingredients are mixed well after sifting.
  • Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients in three additions, mixing until just combined after each addition.
  • Mix in water until just combined.
  • Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full and put in the oven.
  • Check for doneness at 18 minutes – a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake should come out clean. If they are not done, check again every three minutes until they are done.
  • Immediately remove cupcakes from the cupcake tin and place on a cooling rack or on the counter to cool to room temperature.
  • If you’re doing Mini’s test for doneness after 7-8 min.
